Unlike most Champagnes that are made from grapes bought by the winery, or wines bought by the winery, this Champagne is made at an estate from grapes grown on the estate.
This allows the producer more control over the quality controls applied to the wine.
This Champagne is a blend of equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It has spent long enough on its lees to show ripe fruit characteristics and some nutty characteristics. It is rich enough to be a good accompaniment for seafood and white meats – and flavour-some enough to be had by itself.
