Les Carmes de Rieussec is classified as a Second Growth in the Sauternes appellation. The 2011 vintage is made from 84% Semillon, 12% Sauvignon Blanc, and 4% Miscade. The aromas are replete with notes of acacia blossom, fresh peach, and candied apricot. On the palate, it is round, followed by a firmer, more mineral character, culminating in a long and expressive fruity finish.
