Le Pin Trilogie (2011/2012/2013) is a non-vintage (NV) blended second label red wine from Château Le Pin, a top-tier estate on the right bank of Bordeaux. This rare "trilogy" breaks with Bordeaux's traditional single-vintage rule, masterfully blending oak-aged wines from 2011, 2012, and 2013 to achieve a more balanced, smooth, and immediately appealing style.
Unique Blending Techniques:
- 2011 Vintage: Infused the wine with solid tannins and an aging structure.
- 2012 Vintage: Coinciding with the opening of the winery's new, modern winery, the wine exhibits an elegant and refined modern character.
- 2013 Vintage: Imbued the wine with ripe fruit aromas and a smooth, ready-to-drink quality.
Variety and Style: Primarily made from Château Le Pin's signature Merlot grapes, this wine presents a deep ruby color and exudes luxurious aromas of cocoa powder, ripe black cherry, vanilla oak, cinnamon, and cedar. The tannins are refined and silky.
Extremely Scarce: Due to the Château Le Pin vineyard's limited area of only about 2 hectares (5 acres), the production of the grand vin is extremely low. Therefore, the production of the Trilogie, a second label made from young vines or grapes that do not meet the grand vin's production standards, is even more limited, making it highly collectible and valuable for connoisseurs.
