Avignonesi & Capannelle "50 & 50" is a legendary Super Tuscan red wine from Tuscany, Italy. This wine is not produced by a single winery, but is the result of a collaboration between two renowned wineries. It also gained fame after appearing in the famous wine manga "Drops of God".
A Legendary Partnership
A Collaboration Between Two Wineries: In 1988, a superb vintage in Tuscany, the former owners of Capannelle in the Chianti appellation and Avignonesi in the Montepulciano appellation conceived the idea for a collaboration during a lively discussion.
Equal Varieties: This wine is a perfect blend of the two wineries' finest grapes: 50% Capannelle Sangiovese and 50% Avignonesi Merlot, hence the name "50 & 50".
Unique Separate Fission: The two wineries harvest and ferment their grapes separately, then blend the two wines to create a perfect balance of structure and smoothness.
