This exceptional white wine displays aromas of citrus fruit, green apple, and delicate floral notes, with a hint of minerality. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with crisp acidity and a long, refreshing finish, it pairs perfectly with seafood or enjoys on its own.
This wine is made primarily of Sémillon (approximately 84%) and Sauvignon Blanc (approximately 16%) grape varieties. Its production is extremely limited, with only 500-700 cases (approximately 45-63 hectoliters) produced annually, making it a rare gem among Bordeaux white wines and highly sought after by collectors and wine enthusiasts.
Color: Light gold with a vibrant green sheen.
Aroma: The 2013 vintage has an extremely complex aroma. It is initially slightly restrained, but as it is decanted, it gradually reveals aromas of white flowers, pineapple, lemon, ripe white peach and melon, accompanied by candle wax, honey, citrus peel, flint and a slight oak note (such as vanilla and toasted almonds).
Palate: Medium to full-bodied, with a refreshing acidity on the palate, offering intense flavors of citrus, melon, and white peach, accompanied by delicate layers of minerality (flint, wet stone) and herbs (tarragon, chives). The tannins are finely structured, with a long finish that reveals subtle saltiness and floral notes, showcasing excellent balance and depth.
Aging potential: The 2013 vintage of white wine is an excellent one in Bordeaux. This wine is now ready to drink, but it still has the potential to age for at least 20-30 years (until 2033-2043). Over time, it will develop more intense honey, nutty and caramel flavors, similar to the amber hue of top Sauternes.
