A rare, highly expressive white from Pessac-Leognan, this 2015 shows a floral, white-peach scented nose with citrus peel, grapefruit and a touch of exotic fruit. The palate is broad and generous—rich, lees-tinged and gently creamy—yet kept taut by lively acidity and a pronounced mineral-saline thread. Oak provides subtle spice and structure without overpowering the fruit; the wine finishes very long and concentrated. Produced in very limited quantities and crafted for ageing, this is a sophisticated, powerful dry white that rewards both near-term enjoyment and cellaring.
