Kapcsándy Family Winery was founded by Lou Kapcsándy, of Hungarian descent. He purchased the State Lane vineyard, formerly owned by Beringer, and replanted it at a high density. The winery is renowned for its top-quality Bordeaux-style red wines, and while Estate Cuvée is not the winery's flagship Grand Vin, its quality and market reputation have consistently remained at an exceptionally high level.
