Lambay Blended Malt Irish Whiskey Cognac Cask Finished is a unique whisky that combines traditional Irish whiskey-making techniques with the blending skills of top-tier French Cognac. It is the brand's fourth core product, a collaborative effort between the wealthy Irish Baring family (owners of Lambay) and the renowned French Cognac house Camus.
A blend of three single malt whiskies: This whisky is a blend of at least three high-quality single malt whiskies from independent Irish distilleries (including double and triple distillations).
Double cask maturation: The whisky is first aged in bourbon casks, then transferred to carefully selected French oak Cognac casks from Camus for final cask maturation.
Sea breeze and volcanic spring water catalysis: Some of the single malt oak casks used in the blend are specially placed on Lambay Island off the east coast of Ireland to absorb sea breezes and oceanic aromas over a long period; before bottling, Trinity Well volcanic spring water from the island is added for dilution, contributing a unique smoothness and a hint of sea saltiness.
Bottling specifications: Bottled non-chill filtered at a high ABV of 43%, preserving the whisky's complex layers.
