Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Brut Rosé 2006 is a top-tier vintage rosé champagne, renowned for its elegant Art Nouveau white anemone bottle and its delicate, full-bodied palate. This champagne is made from grapes selected by the chief winemaker from Grand Cru villages and is produced in limited quantities only in years with exceptional climates.
Grape varietal: Chardonnay 50%, Pinot Noir 45%, Pinot Meunier 5%.
Appearance: A captivating pale pink (salmon pink) color with a luminous, warm orange sheen, and fine, lingering bubbles.
Aroma: Initially, it exudes aromas of ripe red fruits and citrus, including strawberry, redcurrant, pomegranate, and blood orange. This is followed by notes of toast, hazelnut, honey, English butter biscuits, and subtle smokiness/mineralism.
Palmistry: Fresh and vibrant on the palate, with a full-bodied, silky, and rounded texture in the mid-palate. The acidity is perfectly balanced with the ripe fruit flavors, and the finish offers a delicate citrus peel bittersweetness and a clean mineral backbone.
Serving Temperature: Recommended to be served chilled at 10–12 °C.
Glass Selection: White wine glass or tulip-flavored champagne glass are recommended to allow the aromas and colors to fully develop.
Food Pairing: Its full body pairs perfectly with game such as grilled lobster, prawns, pigeon, or goose. It also pairs wonderfully with less sweet berry desserts like Pavlova or Charlotte cake.
