Tasting Note
- It exhibits rich dark red fruit character, depth and intensity, with a sweet and lingering finish; after decanting, it releases floral aromas, with rich layers and a full body. 2004 was an excellent vintage for this wine.
- Drinking Window: Originally estimated to be between 2009 and 2022, the 2004 vintage, thanks to its excellent structure and the extremely high concentration resulting from Roberto Voerzio's very low production, has seen recent tasting records (2026) show that its tannins are fully matured and integrated, with a balanced acidity and fruitiness, placing it at the peak of its ripeness, exhibiting mature flavors of musk, leather, hazelnut, and dark berries (blueberry, blackberry).
- Tasting Tips: Wines from the La Serra vineyard can sometimes be austere when young, so decanting is strongly recommended to allow their multi-dimensional floral and deep fruit aromas to fully develop.
