Cù Bòcan is an experimental, lightly peated Highland single malt produced at the Tomatin Distillery. Distilled for just one week each year using Scottish barley, it explores unusual cask finishes to balance subtle woodsmoke with a surprisingly sweet, fruit-forward profile.
The brand takes its name from a mythical Highland ghost dog that is said to haunt the village of Tomatin.
The flagship Signature expression is bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or artificial coloring.
The Casks: Matured in a trio of Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry, and Virgin American Oak casks.
Nose: Dry and fragrant with woodsmoke, dried lemon peel, heather honey, and orchard fruits.
Palate: BBQ char, cooking spices, and conference pear, followed by espresso and hints of leather.
Finish: Lingering muscat grapes, light smoke, and nuttiness.
